"This heirloom musical egg is reminiscent of the eggs crafted by Peter Carl Faberge from 1885-1917, and plays Waltz of the Flowers from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite on an 18-note key-wound musical movement. Hidden inside the egg is a handpainted pewter centerpiece of the Mouse King with sword in hand, preparing for battle. The egg is crafted of lustrous triple-fired porcelain decorated with details including raised relief, 22K gold accents, and 100 hand-set faux jewels. The base of the egg has an artwork panorama in the Russian Palekh black-lacquer technique by master Natalia Zaitseva and depicts the Mouse King and dancers at the Stahlbaum's Christmas Eve party; each side of the egg also features Palekh artistry. Each egg is numbered and includes a certificate of authenticity. 6 1/4"" H x 3"" W. (9 1/2 oz.)"
